We are delighted to announce that, following our recent AGM, we have a new Corofin Comhaltas Committee in place for 2023-2024 year.
The Committee are delighted to be supported by our new Branch President Sinead Hayes from Curry. Sinead is one of our branches most successful members who has developed a career across many musical genres, and her mother Mary was one of the branches founding members. The committee are looking forward to working with Sinead and leveraging her depth of musical experience and passion for music, as we continue to promote music, song and dance in the area.

Along with other General committee members, we have a strong and eager committee in place and are actively planning for the coming year.
Relaunch Day SAVE THE DATE: BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY 30TH OCT
Corofin Comhaltas will hold a re launch day on Bank Holiday Monday afternoon 30th October in the Dr Duggan hall. This will be an opportunity for both children and adults to learn about the various instruments, meet the local tutors, take the opportunity of look and feel to instruments, register for an instrument under the rental scheme, learn about options available for lessons, enrol with Comhaltas for the upcoming year and also have some family Halloween fun and games. We hope to have demonstrations for button accordion, whistle, flute, guitar, banjo, piano, piano accordion, bodhran, harp, concertina, fiddle and more! We are also hoping to hold a session locally that evening for existing musicians! More details to follow!Return of Instruments As we finalize the inventory of instruments available to the branch, can any existing instruments in the community pre COVID be returned, either to Cummer NS or any committee member.

Irish Dancing School based in Corofin, Galway. Teaching step & céilí dancing from beginners to championship level.
- Community Games

Corofin/Belclare/Sylane Community Games caters for children aged 6-16 years.
It is not entirely sports based, there is a culture and arts section so children get an opportunity to experience a wide range of activities.
Local games are followed up by a county final and culminating in the All-Ireland Finals held in Athlone over two weekends in August.
